Welcome to this space where I marry my passion for travel with my love of storytelling.

Travel has always been a core part of my life. At the time of writing this, I have visited 37 countries, 27 U.S. states, and am still asking “where next?” Growing up, my parents made travel a priority in our lives, even as young immigrants with a tight budget. Being part of the Sri Lankan Tamil diaspora, our family visits took me all over the world. In my twenties, I planned trips with friends, where I cherished the quality time as much as the destination. As I matured and sought to better understand myself, I started traveling solo and never stopped.

Storytelling has also been a core part of my life. I devoured books as soon as I could read them and wrote my first original stories in kindergarten. As a Bharatanatyam dancer, I relished my ability to evoke emotions and characters through movement. As often happens, day-to-day obligations pulled me away from my creative endeavors. The wonderful thing about passions, however, is that they stay with us no matter what, drawing us back to fulfillment.

As I traveled more, I wrote more. I filled journals with new experiences and ideas. Initially, these words were meant for my eyes only. But when I returned to creative writing, I discovered how much inspiration I drew from my adventures. I love reliving my memories by sharing them in stories. I hope you enjoy them too.
